Will I Still Have Control Over My Property If I Have A Revocable Living Trust?

Coleman Law Firm

Attorney Jeffrey P. Coleman clarifies if someone can continue to control their property if that property is in a revocable living trust.

Video Transcript:

If you have a revocable living trust and you are acting as your own trustee, then it is absolutely certain that you will have control over the assets that are located in the trust. If you resign or turnover the trusteeship to a third party, then you may lose the ability to control those assets that are in the trust. However you should always bear in mind regardless the word is ‘revocable’, it is a revocable trust. You can undo it and cancel it and get complete control over the assets at any time.
