An asset protection plan is critical if you expect exposure to lawsuits. You could certainly purchase (at sometimes considerable expense) a liability insurance policy, but let’s say that you were able to purchase a million-dollar liability insurance policy: by engaging in asset protection you can protect those amounts if you do have a two-million-dollar claim. Asset protection is a very important part if your business could be involved in litigation.
